MEET THE TEAM
Jay Rittberg is the Managing Principal of Euclid Transactional. Previously, Jay was the Senior Vice President and Americas M&A Manager at a leading international insurance company. In this role, Jay was responsible for managing the development, underwriting and marketing of transactional insurance products in the US, Canada and Latin America. Prior to that position, Jay was an attorney at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, where he advised clients on a wide range of corporate matters, including corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Jay holds a B.S. from Cornell University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Phil Casper is a Principal of Euclid Transactional. Phil previously worked at a leading international insurance company in its Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance Group as a Vice President and Regional Underwriting Manager. Prior to that position, Phil was an attorney in the Business Transactions group at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, where he advised private equity and other corporate clients on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and securities matters. Phil graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. and from Boston University School of Law with a J.D.
Albert Song is a Principal of Euclid Transactional. Prior to joining Euclid Transactional, Albert was a Regional Underwriting Manager at a leading international insurance company. Prior to that position, Albert was an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters. Albert has a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
Chris Ziemba is the Chief Claims Officer of Euclid Transactional and also serves as the Chief Claims Officer for Euclid Specialty Managers, LLC, a professional liability underwriting company. Chris has over seventeen years of legal and claims experience. Prior to joining Euclid, Chris was the Managing Claims Attorney for Monitor Liability Managers, a W. R. Berkley Company specializing in executive and professional liability insurance. Chris is a member of PLUS and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. He has been a speaker and panelist at various ACI and ABA events as well as a number of non-profit organizations and associations. Chris has an MBA degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Stuart School of Business and a JD degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

After serving in the Navy and graduating from Northwestern University courtesy of the GI Bill, Peter G. Colis settled into the insurance business. His one-man insurance agency sold all forms of commercial and personal insurance throughout the Chicago area. The name Euclid was recommended by his wife, Nancy.

Peter’s son, John joined the company and became CEO of Euclid Insurance Services, Inc. A graduate of both Northwestern University and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management (Northwestern University), John’s career took him to General Reinsurance Corporation and Aon Risk Services before joining Euclid.
We continue to
Euclid Insurance Services, Inc., while transforming from a retail insurance agency to a program administrator and general agency, remains a family business today. Management for many Euclid operating companies have an equity interest in the operations they lead. Euclid Transactional is the newest partnership continuing Euclid’s strategic expansion and product diversification.
