Assistant Drafter

About the Job:

Euclid Transactional (“ET”) has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join our dynamic Counsel team. As part of our collaborative Counsel team, you will play a key role in drafting insurance policies.

Essential Functions:

  • Draft excess and primary representations and warranties policies on pre-negotiated policy forms, and collateral assignments.
  • Develop specialized knowledge of excess policies, various pre-negotiated policy forms, and collateral assignments.
  • Collaborate with Counsel and Underwriting team colleagues to maintain processes and quality of the policy forms.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • 0-4 years of related experience.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to changing factors, conditions, or situations.
  • Very high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and task prioritization skills.

Base Salary Range: For candidates working in person or remotely in New York, NY or Itasca, IL, the annual base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000 based on experience.  The position is also eligible for an annual target bonus of up to 10% of base salary.

  • Provide suggested policy form wording to address specific client needs.
  • Organize policy resources and maintain policy procedures.
  • Participate in Counsel team projects.
  • Keep current on representation and warranties policy wording.
  • Develop specialized knowledge of particular policy provisions/mechanics.
  • Collaborate with Counsel, Underwriter and Claims team colleagues to maintain and improve quality of the policies.
  • Set challenging goals and work to meet them.
  • Effectively manage time.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • JD preferred.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst

About the Job:

Euclid Transactional (“ET”) is looking for a candidate to fill a full-time M&A Analyst role in our New York office. The M&A Analyst will work directly with the company’s underwriting team, who evaluate businesses across many industries and are recognized leaders in transactional insurance. The position will provide in-depth exposure to M&A and the insurance industry in an entrepreneurial environment.

 

Responsibilities will include:   

  • Analyzing mergers and acquisitions, including reviewing financial statements, business background information and purchase agreements
  • Managing a consistent stream of deal opportunities that contemplate the use of insurance
  • Preparing quotes and policies for insurance of mergers and acquisitions
  • Developing marketing materials and presentations
  • Coordinating and communicating with insurance brokers, lawyers, and clients

Desired Skills & Experience: 

The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and detail-oriented.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce is a plus.

Work: Full-time.

Location: NY office.

Compensation: The base salary is $100,000 annually.  The position is also eligible for an annual target bonus of up to 25% of base salary.
