Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst

Job Description

An established transactional insurance company is looking for a candidate to fill a full-time M&A Analyst role in our New York office. The M&A Analyst will work directly with the company’s underwriting team, who evaluate businesses across many industries and are recognized leaders in transactional insurance. The position will provide in-depth exposure to M&A and the insurance industry in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing mergers and acquisitions, including reviewing financial statements, business background information and purchase agreements
  • Managing a consistent stream of deal opportunities that contemplate the use of insurance
  • Preparing quotes and policies for insurance of mergers and acquisitions
  • Developing marketing materials and presentations
  • Coordinating and communicating with insurance brokers, lawyers and clients

Desired Skills & Experience: The ideal candidates will be team-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and detail-oriented.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce is a plus.

Work: Full-time. Remote start with a possible return to office 2022. COVID-19 vaccine is required (subject to health or religious exemptions).

Location: NY office with a flexible arrangement to work from home.

Job Description

An established transactional insurance company is looking for a candidate to fill a full-time M&A Analyst role on our EMEA team. You will work directly with the underwriting team, who evaluate M&A opportunities and businesses across industries and jurisdictions, and are recognized leaders in the transactional risk insurance space. The position will provide in-depth exposure to international M&A and the insurance industry in an entrepreneurial environment. Following a 3-6 months’ induction at our office in London, this role will be based in Copenhagen.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing M&A transactions, including reviewing financial statements, business background information, due diligence material and purchase agreements
  • Managing a consistent stream of deal opportunities that consider the use of transactional risk insurance
  • Preparing quotes and policies
  • Developing marketing materials and presentations
  • Coordinating and communicating with insurance brokers, lawyers and clients

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Recent graduate (or graduating this summer 2022) with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance or economics
  • 0-2 years’ relevant work experience
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must; knowledge of Danish, Swedish or Norwegian is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of the Salesforce platform are advantageous
  • The ideal candidate will be ambitious, detail-oriented and a natural team player
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Work: Full-time with a 3-6 month induction at the start of employment based at our office in London (pandemic allowing). Following induction, this role will be based in Copenhagen. We offer a flexible mix of office and home based working.
