Deal sizes are continuing to grow, and excess policies are becoming more necessary to secure sufficient limits on M&A transactions. Our team has paid almost $50M in excess claims, and we estimate that over 50% of the deals we underwrote in 2021 had an excess policy.

Although February saw uncertainty in the M&A industry and challenges created by the war in Ukraine, Euclid Transactional bound a record 83 R&W/W&I insurance policies worldwide, 6% more than February 2021. The average transaction value also increased to just over $450 million.
